Outerlandscape
At Rē, we use the term Outerlandscape to describe the world outside of us and the environments we are part of.
This includes the Land where we live and the communities that surround us. Paying attention to the Outerlandscape means noticing what is happening in these places and asking what helps them become healthier and more alive.
For Rē, regeneration is about creating conditions where people and places can become more vital over time. That means looking at what is already present and considering how it might be supported, strengthened, or renewed.
The Outerlandscape is also a place where people can take part in shaping the world around them. When people have the opportunity to contribute and have a say in their communities, regeneration becomes something we do together rather than something done to us.
Inner & Outerlandscape are closely connected. What happens around us affects who we are, just as the way we live and participate affects the places we call home. At Rē, we pay attention to both because regeneration happens through that relationship.
