Innerlandscape
Regeneration is a process that can happen at and in between multiple levels: a human’s body, a forest, a river, a community, or a family.
At Rē, we use the term Innerlandscape to describe what is happening within us and how it shapes the way we move through the world.
Regeneration begins here too. Making space to slow down and pay attention can help us better understand ourselves and notice what we carry with us. It gives us an opportunity to become more present in our own lives and more aware of how we relate to others.
This kind of inner work can deepen our sense of connection to the world around us. It can help us become more grounded in ourselves and better able to participate in the communities around us. When we take time to understand ourselves, we may also begin to see what we have to offer.
For Rē, caring for the Innerlandscape is part of regeneration. It is a way of making space for healing and discovering how that healing can connect us back to the people and places around us.
Inner & Outerlandscape are closely connected. What happens within us affects how we engage with the world, and the world around us continually shapes who we are.
We recommend two of our courses that touch on aspects of the Innerlandscape:
ReMembering the Origins of Climate Change
The Introduction to ReMembering course from Sara Jolena Wolcott is about the social and ecological histories of the doctrine of discovery: seeing how we are part of these larger dynamics are an important part of regeneration.
Nature and Belonging
With the transformative knowledge of Empower With Nature’s Maya Galimidi, we will ground and re-build connection to place. We will explore diverse concepts and use phenomenological techniques to engage our senses and heighten our levels of observation. Through a deepened understanding of ecopsychology and the “ecological self” we will reconnect to place and purpose. Consider this class a personal invitation to ROOT: within yourself, and wherever you are.

On occasion, we offer a two part Regenerative Fellowship, which includes both time designated for Innerlandscape work and time designated for Outerlandscape work… to support thinkers and teachers in this space who would not otherwise have a chance to go deeper into their own work and to develop new, more deeply integrated initiatives.
PAST PARTICIPANTS SAY...
“Having two months for the full program allowed me to take a step back, conduct research, read, write, and immerse myself in nature. This period provided the space for discovery, reflection, and genuine engagement with my work in a manner that would not have been achievable otherwise.”
