The Rē Generation, Ep 3: An Interview w/ Sam Meya, Part 1: WASH and Cyclone Idai Recovery in Malawi

Rē’s Felix Bivens interviews Sam Meya, an expert WASH (water, sanitation and hygiene) and community development practitioner working in his home country of Malawi. Sam describes his ongoing work to improve water and sanitation systems across the rural areas of the country. He also addresses his current project to rebuild water points in the Phalombe District in the wake of Cyclone Idai which lasted 8 days in March 2019, leaving massive flooding and infrastructure damage across Malawi and neighboring Mozambique and Zimbabwe.
