Re’s Felix Bivens interviews Hon. Chido Madiwa, Member of Parliament in Zimbabwe.

After many years of work in the Ministry of Women’s Affairs supporting women’s empowerment, community development practitioner Chido Madiwa decided to pursue her advocacy for women in a new way– by running for public office. In her first bid, Chido was elected to Zimbabwe’s Parliament.

A year into her term, she reflects on her motivations to seek office and how the has been able to leverage her position to further progress on women’s issues across her country.
